This boss features in the Poseidome. King Neptune asks you to rid him of a giant robot Sandy which has a variety of attacks. These are (in order):
Swipe (when close)
You start off as SpongeBob, and the first part is easy. All you have to do is keep away from her as she does her karate chop, then she'll make you fly into the air with a Butt Slam. While in the air, just use a bubble bounce and she's down, gotcha? Note: Don't stay directly under her as she Butt Slams, or you'll get hurt.
Now it's Patrick's turn, and this one is a little harder. We now introduce you to the Clothesline move, in which Robot Sandy runs to the ropes and springs her legs to each side. You have to jump over it in order to escape it. Once she Butt Slams, body slam her and pick up the falling head. Next, throw it to the broken score box and repeat the process. Hey presto!
Back to SpongeBob. You should see an upgrade to the Clothesline move, where the robot uses her arms as well. To avoid it, use a single jump. Bubble bounce like last time. She should pick up her head and wave it side to side in front of her. Bubble bash the head to give her a beating.
Now that squirrel is down, you receive your reward. A golden spatula, and a new move called the bubble bowl (see "Controls" for more details). Hooray for Kah-rah-tae!
Now HERE is a force to be reckoned with. This boss took me months to complete (of course then I was a novice). You first meet Robot Patrick in the Industrial Park, and his goo-concentrated antics lead to the freezing of poor Squidward. His attacks are (in order):
Rapid Fire Spit
Starting off with SpongeBob, the best tactic here is to stay as far away from him as possible. His Goo Splatter doesn't do much (at least not if you're far away), and the Goo Spit is easily avoidable. It's only when his Goo Spin comes along that things get hard. All you can do at that point is keep running and hope for the best.
After his spin, he'll get dizzy and that is when you hit him, right on the sign on his back which says "Kick Me Here". Funny old world, isn't it?
Oh no! SpongeBob's been frozen and it's up to Sandy to melt him down. He misses his Goo Spaltter and instead starts off with the Goo Spit, then his Spin. Easy. But it's only after the first time you hit him that things get hairy. Once you "Kick Him Here" he'll spit out goo rapidly, so use the swing icons to get away quick. Tip: Actually, using the swing icons all the time is a good way to avoid his attacks.
You should notice small wooden boxes fall from the sky and into the arena. Their use becomes obvious when Robo-Patrick pulls that chain. When the goo level rises, jump on them to get to him. Simple as that.
Now you've melted Squidward and SpongeBob, it's time for SB to take down the robot. His first move is Freezy Breath, and if it hits you, you'll be left immobile until his Goo Spit, which hurts you. Just double jump to avoid that.
Ooh, hurrah, he's spinning again. After he gets dizzy, you can't reach him because there are no boxes to jump on. Instead, you have to bubble-bowl, which is tricky on a moving platform. Keep re-targeting your bowl and hope for the best.
Completion! You have earned yourself a golden spatula, a new move called the "guided cruise bubble" (see "Controls" for more details) and a brand new area to play in!
This is it! This is what you've been waiting all your life for! The final battle- SpongeBob vs. SpongeBob. His attacks are (in order):
Rapid Laser Fire (Plankton)
You play the whole level as SpongeBob, and it's not easy. Your objective is to hit all of the green flashing buttons on Robo-SpongeBob.
On the robot's first two lives he only uses a Karate Slice, so jump over his attack and bubble bounce the button on his hand. Remember, you only have a short amount of time, so maybe you should go for the other ones, easily hit by a guided cruise bubble.
After two hits, the robot becomes immobile, and the robot Plankton takes over, firing lasers at you as fast as he can. Just run until he stops shooting, then hit him with a cruise bubble. Quite some skill is needed here to get it right on target.
Now he uses his Karate Chop, which increases in the number of chops every time he is hit. Usual tactic, but only until he is down again, then Plankton takes over. His new move now is a devastating Kah-Rah-Tae!, and the only way to avoid that is to move to the platform next to you, then back to the platform you were standing on first. Complicated, but it's the only way.
Now you have dealt with Robo-SpongeBob, we now move on to the battle against the robot Plankton inside of him! What's worse, if you die you start from the beginning of the battle.
Bounce on the springboard, then bubble-bowl the Duplicatotron 1000 before it makes any robots. It will make a Tar-Tar, but just knock him off the edge.
Now Robo-Plankton appears, firing his lasers and screaming blue murder. I have developed an unusal tactic to defeat him. To see it, click here. Note: Guided cruise bubble is the thing to use on him.
Now jump on that platform and hit the fuse. Hitting these is your primary objective for the level. Now onto another trampoline and to part 2. Cruise bubble the Dupicatotron (after avoiding Chuck's first missile), then turn around and hit the G-Love that just appeared. NOW you can get that annoying Chuck.
Plankton again, then jump on the floating ledges to get to the next fuse, which can be bubble-bashed. Yet another trampoline, then straight down to under a Monsoon. Bubble bash quickly, to avoid any more annoyances. There's a Duplicatotron and a ramp indicating that you should bubble-bowl, but just run to the edge of the ramp and cruise bubble it. It saves time and Fodders can't get you.
YET ANOTHER Plankton encounter, then over to the next fuse. On to the trampoline, and hit the Monsoon quickly (like last time). First, dodge Chuck's missile, then hit the Ham-Mer which the Duplicatotron spawned. Avoid another missile, then hit the Dup'. Be quick though, because after you hit it another Ham-Mer will appear, so keep pressing the square button.
Hit the Chuck, and Robo-Plankton will appear again. Defeat him, then onto the floating platform and bubble-bowl the fuse. The electric gate should open, revealing another trampoline. Now you can go up to the brain and neutralise the robot for good.
Dodge Plankton's lasers, then hit him with the cruise bubble (like usual). Looking to the left of where you landed, you'l see a small tunnel which you must launch a guided cruise bubble into. Steer your bubble to the end of the tunnel, where you can see a fuse. Hit it!
Repeat the process twice more, and you've done it! You've completed Battle for Bikini Bottom! Give yourself a pat on the back and watch the end unfold. Still wondering what it is? Well I'm not telling.
Okay, click here for some pics and a video. Note: Special 100 spatula ending spoilers ahead.
