As soon as you enter Jellyfish Fields, you start talking to Squidward, who will tell you he needs some King Jellyfish jelly to use as ointment after a jellyfish attack. You can get the ointment at the end of the level, so we'll leave it for now.
Here we have an introduction to a robot called Fodder (see "Robots" for full details). He's easy to kill, so get to the broken bridge, pay the clam 125 shiny objects and cross. But, before you do, there is a chance to get one of Patrick's socks. Instead of crossing, walk to the right and go up the ledges. Continue until you come to a small drop in front of some tikis on a floating tiki. Fall down and smash the wall of tikis, and behind it is a sock. Note: Whatever you do, DON'T try to get the shiny objects down the waterfall. You just get respawned.
Pass the checkpoint, then head towards the end of the drag. You may see a sock in the middle of the lake, but it can only be accessed by coming back as Patrick, then:
Go to the freezy fruit near the bridge, up some ledges. Throw it into the lake. When it turns to ice, run across it and THEN get the sock.
Once at the end of the drag, run towards the barrel sticking out of the land. Round the side of the rock nearby there are three tikis. Jump on them, then onto the rock itself. Hit the switch, then a pathway to an island out on the lake should appear. There is a sock and a purple shiny object waiting for you. Head back to land, then up the ledges where you will se puffer fish flying from a cannon. These will hurt you; try and find a safe way up by going to a free space the puffer fish don't cover and get rid of the cannon once you are up.
NOW is the time to get those shiny objects down the waterfall. Go to the bungee point, and dive for the golden spatula at the bottom. Back down, and press the switch to activate the platforms. you will see a Ham-mer (see "Robots") and, if you continue, a bubble-bowl game. Right now you don't have that move, so come back later.
If you follow the path correctly, you will come to a set of flowers next to a platform that moves (you'll know it when you see it). Bounce from flower to flower, then onto Jellyfish Rock. There you find one of Patrick's lost socks. Jump on the flower there to get back again, then over the platform and get those robots on the other side of it. Press the switch and- hey presto! A golden spatula is yours for the taking!
Talk to Mermaid Man. He'll tell you that Patrick is in trouble and needs your help. Here you'll get your first "taste" of tongue-boarding. Head down the slide to begin.
To get a sock out of this, take the secret pathway by jumping onto the ledge on the right. Also, at the end there is a sock, but you have to time the last jump through the wall of tikis PERFECTLY. Even though I am a Bikini Bottom guru, I still had trouble with this. The key is to jump once, then wait a second, then jump again.
Thus begins Patrick's dilemma. Your objective here is to destroy all the robots and Duplicatotrons and press the buttons next to them. My advice is to rid yourself of all the robots on the field, then get a Duplicatotron, push the button there, and repeat the process. If you aren't good with robots, then run away from them instead of destroying them. Actually, the only thing you HAVE to do to complete this task is to press the switches, but it helps if you stop the hunks of junk.
After getting the golden spatula from Patrick, you play as him for the first time. His controls are much like SpongeBob's (see "Controls") but without uppercut attacks. Instead, you are equipped with a throwing power which you can use to hit the switch before you.
The next few bits are fairly easy; follow the on-screen instructions and use the Patrick teeter-totter to get to the caves.
Inside the caves, walk to a small opening with two switches and a closed gate. The thing to do here is pick up the throw fruit, hit one of the buttons with it, pick it up again, then hit the other. Avoid the spikes, jump over some corks, and to the next checkpoint.
Passing more spikes, you will find- yes, spikes- and a wall of tikis, one of them a thunder tiki. Pick up your throw fruit: not only are you going to rid yourself of a wall which could waste you precious time trying to get over before the spikes get you, but you're gonna get a BIG combo, baby!
If you stand a specific length away, the arrow you use to target throws will point to the thunder tiki. Don't be too disappointed if your fruit doesn't make it, you can come back and try again.
Past the tikis and through the gate there is a throw fruit challenge- well, not really a challenge per say, but it'll test your speed and accuracy. On the third level, you have to stack the throw fuits on top of one another. That is the only tip I can give you.
If/When you make it, Slide down the slide and grab the freezy fruit (see "Game Objects") and chuck in into the water, freezing it. With your 18 seconds you can run round that set of rocks and grab one of Patrick's socks, then get a very rare purple shiny object.
Going up, the sign will tell you that throw fruits can be used to destroy robots. My advice: don't bother. It wastes time and seeing as the robots move, you'll never be able to get it on target. If you ever do, count yourself lucky.
Stun those blasted robots at the top platform with belly flops, then pick one up and hit the switch next to the gate. The gate opens, the Duplicatotron is finally accessable and you have another golden spatula!
Strangely, even after defeating the King Jellyfish, Mr Krabs still says "What are you waiting for boy, go get that King Jellyfish!". Weird.
After an intro into what a Tar-Tar (see "Robots") can do, run to Mrs Puff. She will tell you that there is a golden spatula at the bottom of the lake. To get to it, you must stun the Ham-Mers and throw them at the small, drinking fountain-like things. There are five in total. Once the lake is drained, jump onto the platforms below to claim your prize.
The bus stop can change the level completely. This level has certain things only one of the two characters can do. To make is easy, I'll mark each one as I give you the guide, for example:
Blah blah blah (SB 1) blah blah
indicates that you must look at SpongeBob abilities #1 to see what you can do as SpongeBob there. Geddit? SB= SpongeBob, PS= Patrick.
Run past the shh tikis (SB1, PS 1) and destroy the Duplicatotron. Head past the checkpoint, then continue over the stream. If you are in need of a spare pair of pants, there is one up the ledges behind the waterfall.
Opening the teleport box (SB 2), keep going until pass the stone tikis (see "Game Objects")(SB 3). Here is your chance to get an mega-monster combo. Just run to the thunder tiki, destroy the robots, and WHAM!!! The shinies just roll in.
Pay the clam 2000 shiny objects, then over to the platforms to the Tar-Tar (SB 4, PS 2). Destroy it, then head over that narrow path to a robot rumble (PS 3). Blast the Duplicatotron and if you want to, jump across the small ledges to the creaky-thingy and to a sock!
Get the Tar-Tar and across the stream to another creaky-thingy. But if you walk past the freezy fruit (PS 4) and down some ledges, you'll find a sock.
Walking over the creaky-thingy (jumping might help with getting over), you should come to a Ham-Mer and a Fodder. Alternatively, if you want to finish this stage quickly, walk to the end of the creaky-thingy and wait for it to go down all the way, then use the jump technique to get to the golden spatula on top of the level.
Anyway, past the Ham-Mer, go down the ledges and smash the other robots there. Walk to the thunder tiki and run away, as usual, then go back to the kplace where the two Ham-Mers were (assuming that you desrtoyed them), and jump onto the creaky-thingy there. Use the technique I explained earlier to get to a secret place.
Now you MUST switch back to SpongeBob whoever you are playing as. Use the bus stop and go up the wall jump. Next, defeat the Tar-Tars and get that spatula! Now you are ready to take on that King Jellyfish.
1: SpongeBob is the only one out of the three playable characters that can sneak, so he can get up close to the tikis.
2: After getting the guided cruise bubble, head back a bit from the teleport box and turn right. Up the ledges and stand on the platform. Hit all the tikis with the cruise bubble and get a sock.
3: Although there are thunder tikis there to blast them out of the sea, SpongeBob can use his guided cruise bubble to blow them up.
4: Guided cruise bubble, anyone? Patrick and Sandy ain't the only ones that can hit things from distances.
1: Patrick can throw something to destroy the shh tikis.
2: Pick up the throw fruit and throw it into the thunder tikis. Simple as that.
3: Two things here. First, wait til the two floating tikis are near each other, then throw that fruit! A super combo awaits. Second (this may not work) you can use the throw fruit to hit the robots. I strongly advise against that, though.
4: Pick up the freezy fruit and throw it off the edge (the side with the river on it). Jump down on that previously unattainable island and get what you need. I think there's a sock or a purple shiny object there.
When you first go up Spork Moutain, you should see the King Jellyfish taking a shower. To defeat him, see my page on "Game Bosses".
But for now, let's concentrate on the slide unlocked when you've beaten him and collected his jelly. Going down on the first stretch, you should see a purple shiny object, easily accessible by double-jumping. Continuing on, at the beginning of the 1st turn, don't bother turning, just fall off and you will come to a secret path which will give you a sock and let you finish the course quickly.
Another golden spatula can be found here, at the end of the course. To get it, jump once at the end, then again about half a second later, like I explained earlier.
The jellyfish at the bottom here are big and stubborn, so don't even try hitting them, you'll just get stung. Bounce on the trampoline and give your King Jellyfish jelly to Squidward, and you're done!
